Nut Bars


technically not raw due to the puffed amaranth but a really good snack
travels really well and does not need to be refrigerated

1/3 C dates
1/4 c honey
pinch of sea salt dissolved in
1/3 c water
1 c blanched almonds
1 c raw cashews broken
1 c puffed amaranth


blend all but cashews and amaranth in food processor until fairly smooth
add cashews and amaranth
press in a 8X8 pan coated with oil and dehydrate until top not sticky to
touch (about 12 hours) remove from pan cut and put back in dehydrator
until desired dryness (about another 12 hours)
